 RULES & CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
 
 

 

 
 

1.

The decision of the judges is to be accepted as final in every case.
 

2.

Practice jump will be provided.  Red marker should be passed on rider’s right. 
 

3.

Competitors riding caps must conform to current BSI standards and should be worn at all times when mounted with chin straps done up. Any dangerous behavior, misuse of spurs or whips or action contrary to the instructions of the Show Organisers or representatives may be penalised by expulsion from the showground and entry fees forfeited.
 

4.

Back protectors are advisable in all jumping classes.
 

5.

Suitable footwear must be worn at all times.
 

6.

The organisers reserve the right to vary the programme, to refuse any entry without stating the reason or to alter the order or composition of the schedule. All times are approximate.
 

7.

The judges reserve the right to request any competitor to withdraw at their discretion.
 

8.

Riders and spectators must adhere to all signs.  These are in place for everyone’s safety.
 

9.

Horses and ponies must be 4 years old and over in order to compete in any class, with the exception of Class 11: In Hand Mountain and Moorland.

10.

All dogs must be kept on a lead and under proper control.
 

11.

No refund of entry fees may be made without a Doctor’s or Vet’s certificate.

 

12.

Objections must be made in writing within 15 minutes of the incident, accompanied by a deposit of £10, which will be refunded if the objection is sustained.
 

13.

A Vet and Doctor will be on the field.  Any competitors requiring the services of the vet will be responsible for all expenses incurred. In addition, St John’s Ambulance will be in attendance.
 

14.

It is strongly advised that all competitors have public liability insurance.
 

15.

No claim can be entertained for the loss, accident, damage that may occur to any competitor or onlooker, their horse, pony or property, and it is a condition of entry that every competitor shall indemnify the organisers and their representatives against any legal action arising out of any incident connected with the show or ground.
